A DURABLE CHOICE
Aluminum frames have experienced periods of strong marginalization due to their first major diffusion with a product that, while offering absolute absence of maintenance, had enormous drawbacks in thermal insulation. The very low quality of the material as an insulator often caused heavy condensation formation, in addition to obviously compromising thermal reduction.
This obstacle was brilliantly overcome several decades ago with the advent of the so-called thermal break, which is a part of insulating plastic material inserted between the external and internal facade of the window. Today, the very modern style and sometimes the very reduced section thanks to the material's strength are highly appreciated at an architectural level.
The coatings are also very robust and long-lasting over time. Maintenance could be problematic due to the great difficulty in fixing individual scratches or small breakages, in which case the piece must be replaced without the guarantee of identical coloration.
